Here comes the problem, the battery which used to last 3 hours can
only last 2 hours now.How did this happen?Did this due to the quality of
the laptop battery?
For the laptop which purchase within a year, the shrink of battery
life result of the incorrect judgement of the BIOS (basic input-output
system) instead of the natural aging of your laptop.Maybe the BIOS give a
wrong conclusion when your laptop has a little power, but it forced to
shutdown your notebook. In this case you needn't to suspect the quality
of your laptop battery. You can easily retrieve the remaining power by
battery calibration.
Several ways of calibration can be used. Here I suggest the most common way..To employ the function of battery calibration. Here I give the example of my own laptop, first boot your computer and then press "F2" to enter the Power menu.
When you enter this menu, you'll see the
"Start Battery Calibration"option.Press the "enter"button and implement
it.The screen will pop up like this"Please plug-in an AC adapter to
supply power. It will recalibrate the gauge of laptop battery now.Initialize battery and adjust LCD brightness. It is charge the battery, please wait, please remove AC adapter."
This process may cost 4 or 5 hours.please be patient. After correctly
calibrating the notebook battery ,your laptop will continue to race
long. This is an effective way to make your battery safer and last
longer. So you can calibrate your laptop if you find your PC can't last
for a long time instead of suspect the quality of you laptop battery.
